I am a dedicated wife, mother, author, educator, and military veteran. I am degreed in teaching and learning, educational leadership, counseling, student services, and psychology. My specialty areas include Federal and State compliance in Section 504/Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). For nearly 20 years, I developed courses for teachers and school leaders, and now my trainings are also available to parents. I believe informed and empowered parents have much less frustration, stress, and overwhelm with the quality of special education services. I developed this course to level the playing field by training parents to advocate like the Special Education pros.
